National Public Radio is an American news service that has news stories from around the world with written summaries available.  It also has podcasts.

Listen to and watch famous speeches from the History Channel

Top 100 Speeches is a site that has famous American speeches available for listeners

Voice of America radio has news for learners of English with scripts

A moment of science has lots listenings and scripts on a range of scientific subjects.  Find out if Chimps are nice or why cigarette smoke is blue!

The BBC World Service Learning English Watch and listen site has lots of listening with activities and some typescripts

Voices from the Archives is part of the BBC Audio Archives.  There are hundreds of interviews with famous people. Examples range from an interview with Crick and Watson recalling the discovery of DNA's molecular structure and UEA’s own Andrew Motion, the poet laureate, talking about his early life and influences.
